Job Position Overview
MetOx Technologies Inc. (MetOx) is seeking a fulltime experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead and implement the commercial scale wire manufacturing equipment and systems at MetOx.
Your role at MetOx
MetOx is a Houstonbased hightech company that manufactures hightemperature superconducting 2G HTS) wire a product and process that willempower the future of electricity.
MetOx is seeking talented scientists and engineers to join its world class team for the launch of largescale reliable commercial production of high temperature superconducting wire.
In this role you will be responsible for the deployment of the metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) that will help us to actualize our vision. You will collaborate with other team members working on multiple projects building on your strengths in engineering design development and communication.
Responsibilities: In this role you will:
- Lead the development and qualification of MOCVD processes
- Develop measurement methods and subprocesses needed to manufacture HTS layers with high quality
- Develop and maintain productionrelated documentation ensuring said documents are accurate up to date and reflect current GMP (cGMP)
- Lead manufacturing improvement events driving Lean initiatives to improve processes utilizing various toolbox items. 6S VSM Kaizen Visual Mgmt Pokayoke 3P ...
- Developing and maintain systems to drive continuous improvement in areas of cost quality safety lead time and use of working capital
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will
- Hold a Masters or Ph D in Materials Science Chemistry Chemical Engineering or related discipline with 510 years of relevant industry experience
- Have prior experience in one or more of the tool box items 6S VSM Kaizen Visual Mgmt Pokayoke 3P ...
- Have prior experience in epitaxy CVD or PVD of thin films or coatings
- Is a strategic problem solver and valued collaborator who can design and execute on a vision while working multiple problems. Is a great communicator who is able to distill complex problems into concise statements; you are comfortable working with and balancing competing priorities of multiple projects and teams operating in different regions and cultures.
