Job Description
The Agile Scrum Master role reports to the Agile Coach in Global Tech PMO supporting Consumer Platforms tech teams
As a Scrum Master at McDonalds you will be responsible for the daily operations of an agile squad facilitating the work of the squad and scrum ceremonies and ensuring the team is fully functional and productive. You will help the squad selforganize focus on outcomes and get work to a finished state. The Scrum Master is an Agile guide and helps the teams adopt what Scrum/Agile routines and champions high performing teams.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Ensure Scrum ceremonies (e.g. stand ups sprint planning sprint retrospectives etc. are completed properly driving team to develop and deploy faster.
- Champion Agile CoE standards and processes within the team being a frontline change agent.
- Support Agile Coach in educating the team driving Agile standard methodologies promoting selforganization and driving toward highfunctioning teams.
- Eliminates blockers and external interferences to development progress.
- Helps Product Manager maintain the product backlog and holds team accountable to defining stories at the right level.
- Supports Product Manager in defining Definition of Done (DoD) for the product.
- Reports to the Product Manager and owns reporting and communication of scrum progress.
- Participates in scrum of scrums with other teams as needed.
- Addresses issues with their process and holds the squad to quality.
- Collects key squad metrics and supports team improvement.
- Maintains and cleans up JIRA in alignment with standard methodologies.
Qualifications :
- 2 years experience in mentoring and guiding Agile teams.
- Understanding of the Scrum framework with a demonstrated history of mentoring high performing teams.
- Understanding Agile software delivery the path to production and other operational aspects.
- Experience with Agile toolsets (e.g. Jira Confluence etc.
- Excellent communications and customer leadership skills and strong Emotional Intelligence to read verbal and nonverbal cues in others so you can communicate effectively and cultivate healthy working relationships.
- Possess one or more Scrum certifications (CSM PSM)

Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience of mentoring technology teams on Agile standard methodologies
- Familiar with change management techniques to facilitate cultural and organizational shifts.
- Knowledge across several Agile frameworks including Lean AgileScrum Kanban Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Extreme Programing (XP).
- Experience working in a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry.
