The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) is offering a oneyear hospitalbased fellowship in surgical pathology beginning July 1 2024 and/or July 1 2025 and/or July 1 2026. VGH is a large academic hospital with numerous cancer programs serving as a tertiary referral surgical center for the province of British Columbia. Our Anatomical Pathology division provides subspecialty consultative service for a high volume of inhouse specimens (including a busy frozen section service) and outside referral cases including support from our inhouse Molecular Pathology laboratory. Fellowship opportunities are available in the following subspecialty areas:
One fellowship will be available each year. The successful candidate will be able to tailor the fellowship to a primary subspecialty focus and secondary focus if required (preferably 12 focused areas). Fellows will participate in multidisciplinary cancer conferences and weekly intradepartmental rounds. Exposure to quality activities is also encouraged. Fellows will also be given an opportunity to participate in one or more research projects.
