Job Summary
The Accounts Assistant is responsible for managing the allocation of payments client invoicing and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data. This role includes assisting with debt recovery preparing financial reports supporting the Finance Team and handling client and internal stakeholder inquiries related to accounts. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting excellent communication skills and proficiency in using accounting software particularly Oracle Netsuite.
Responsibilities
- Daily allocation of payments received from clients.
- Create new clients in our internal ERP system (Netsuite Oracle system).
- Create additional invoices and credit notes as and when required.
- Respond to client inquiries by phone and email.
- Respond to internal stakeholders inquiries regarding clients accounts.
- Responsible for recovery of unpaid invoices.
- Review daily debt and bank receipts.
- Prepare monthend debtors reconciliation for review.
- Improve timeliness and accuracy of financial data and debtor reporting.
- Coordinate with customers to help facilitate the warranty process and work with the project manager to resolve warranty cases and record financial data and notes in the company system as needed.
- Assist in resolution of any accounting and internal control issues related to accounting operations.
- Assist and prepare financial data ledgers for purposes of financial reporting and analysis as needed.
- Assist and prepare financial reports as needed for statutory banking investment and other purposes.
- Provide weekly updates AR report analysis and discuss/communicate accounts receivable issues to the team.
- Assist accountant with data entry and entering of bills in the system as required.
- Cross coverage of duties or potential reallocation of duties within the team may be made to cover leave absences.
- Provide support to the Finance Team as and when required.
Requirements
- Certificate or Degree in Accounting.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Outlook.
- Willingness to learn.
- Very good English verbal and written communication skills.
- A team player and willingness to assist team members when required.
- 3 years experience working in an Accounts Receivablerelated role.
- 3 years work experience in an Accounting or Financerelated field preferred.
- 2 to 3 years of experience working with Oracle Netsuite preferred.
- 1 to 2 years in project accounting/management experience.
- Some debt collection experience preferred.
- Some knowledge of the Australia GST system preferred.
- Attendance: Reliability for the month.
- Daily Tasks/Project Fulfillment.

- 9 AM to 6 PM (AEST) Sydney time or Parttime Hours.
