Facility Workers are responsible for ensuring setup and tear downs for events are completed according to specifications in a safe and timely manner. They are also responsible for basic maintenance and upkeep of both the building and property. Facilities workers must possess the following knowledge skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation using some other combination of skill and abilities.

This role will pay $17.84/hour (after 90day probationary period)

The 15000 seat downtown arena is home to the eleventhtime National Champion UConn Womens Basketball team and the sixtime National Champion UConn Mens Basketball team. Led by Hall of Fame basketball Head Coach Geno Auriemma and Dan Hurley the Mens & Womens basketball programs have established themselves as national powerhouses.

The XL Center is also home to the AHLs Hartford Wolf Pack the primary developmental affiliate of the New York Rangers.

The XL Center entertains millions of visitors annually with a variety of concerts family shows iceskating spectaculars consumer events and trade shows throughout the season. The venue has played host to an extraordinary roster of worldrenowned artists including Taylor Swift Justin Timberlake Bruce Springsteen Billy Joel Pearl Jam Black Eyed Peas Britney Spears Drake and many others.

The XL Center will continue to be the center of sports and entertainment for Hartford and the State of Connecticut for years to come.

• Arrives for work on time for each scheduled shift in uniform and ready to work
• Must be able to work overnight hours weekends and holidays
• Must be able to take both verbal and written direction
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. on a frequent basis
• Ability to stand on feet for up to 8 hours at a time kneel stoop climb stair and reach/lift above head in conjunction with conversion tasks
• Ability to safely and efficiently operate hand tools
• Performs setup and tear down duties
• Performs daily operations and general building maintenance during nonevent days
• Performs general landscaping of the property
• Works safely quickly and efficiently to meet all deadlines
• Maintains a positive outgoing demeanor
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• All other tasks assigned by Supervisor

• Prior conversion or event experience preferred
• Prior landscaping or snow removal experience preferred
• OSHA 10 preferred
• Prior forklift training preferred
