ACTIVATIONIST
This is a continuous posting based on operational need and will be used to create an eligibility list to fill upcoming opportunities within the next twelve months. The number of positions to be filled has not been identified at this time. The positions are casual and temporary.
SALARY
$27.61 per hour

ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is responsible for the planning implementation and evaluation of social recreational restorative and activation programs for residents of the Long Term Care facilities to promote social intellectual physical emotional and spiritual wellbeing and to ensure clients and visitors are provided with services that reflect the Branchs commitment to a safe secure and customer focused environment..
QUALIFICATIONS
- Successful completion of a Community College Diploma in recreation and leisure studies therapeutic recreation kinesiology or other related field.
- Minimum one 1 year experience working in a long term care facility in planning organizing and delivering activation programs for seniors.
- Knowledge of the concepts of restorative care as applied in a Long Term Care setting.
- As a condition of employment candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) tuberculosis screening and proof of immunization in accordance with the LongTerm Care Homes Act (O.Reg.79/10.
