Job Description
We are seeking a detailoriented and analytical Core Network Support Engineer to join our team in Moshi Urban Tanzania. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our core network infrastructure ensuring high performance and reliability for our telecommunications services.
- Monitor and maintain core network elements including routers switches and firewalls
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in a timely manner
- Implement and optimize network protocols such as TCP/IP OSPF and BGP
- Conduct regular network performance analysis and capacity planning
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to improve network infrastructure and services
- Develop and maintain network documentation and standard operating procedures
- Participate in oncall rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical network issues
- Stay uptodate with emerging technologies and industry best practices
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Network Engineering or a related field
- 3 years of experience in network engineering or support roles
- Strong knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP OSPF and BGP
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex network issues
- Experience with network monitoring tools and performance optimization
- Handson experience with Cisco and/or Juniper network equipment
- Scripting skills in languages such as Python or Bash
- CCNA CCNP or equivalent certifications preferred
- Familiarity with telecommunications industry and mobile network architecture
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to work in Moshi Urban Tanzania
Additional Information :
- This position is Hybrid
- It could start as a 12month contract but can be renewable or converted to permanent.
- Strictly Tanzania Citizens.
