Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Accounting Manager and as part of the Accounting & Administrative team this position is responsible for propertylevel and portfoliolevel accounting monthend closing bank reconciliations and various internal audit procedures. This role is expected to function autonomously within the team setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creating and updating monthly client reporting packages
- Performing transactional accounting tasks including bank reconciliations journal entries and creating bills and invoices
- Entering complex accounting transactions such as adjusting entries
- Providing quality assurance on transactional accounting procedures
- Updating accounting records and coordinating with the Property Bookkeeper to resolve complex issues
- Assisting team members with accountingrelated inquiries and questions
Requirements
4 years of accounting experience (previous roles may include Staff Accountant General Accountant etc.
At least 3 years of experience with cloud accounting systems
1 year of real estate industry experience (preferred but not required)
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
Experience using productivity software such as Monday Trello or Notion
Strong verbal English communication skills
