About the Opportunity

Our client is looking for a dynamic Vice President of Engineering

to lead largescale infrastructure mechanical electrical and civil engineering initiatives. This executive role is ideal for a proven engineering leader with a strong background in industrial commercial or manufacturing environments who can drive innovation operational excellence and strategic growth.

As a key executive leader the VP of Engineering will be responsible for overseeing engineering strategy optimizing infrastructure and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This role offers the opportunity to spearhead complex projects that impact national and global operations while shaping the companys longterm engineering vision.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and implement a scalable engineering strategy aligned with the companys longterm goals.
  • Oversee capital projects facility expansions and infrastructure improvements across multiple locations.
  • Establish best practices for efficiency safety and innovation in engineering processes.

Project Development &

  • Lead the planning and of largescale civil mechanical and electrical engineering projects.
  • Drive structural and systems improvements in manufacturing plants production facilities and corporate infrastructure.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time within budget and meet safety and environmental standards.

Infrastructure & Operations Optimization

  • Oversee facility engineering energy efficiency initiatives and maintenance programs to enhance productivity.
  • Drive continuous improvement strategies in areas such as automation robotics and advanced manufacturing.
  • Implement sustainability initiatives to improve environmental impact and meet regulatory requirements.

CrossFunctional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Operations Supply Chain and Executive Leadership to align engineering priorities with business objectives.
  • Partner with regulatory agencies external contractors and vendors to ensure adherence to compliance standards.

Talent Development & Culture

  • Build and mentor a highperforming engineering team fostering a culture of innovation collaboration and operational excellence.
  • Develop strategies to attract retain and advance top engineering talent.

Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

  • Ensure engineering operations meet all federal state and local regulations including OSHA EPA NFPA and other industryspecific standards.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance workplace safety structural integrity and equipment reliability.

Budget & Resource Management

  • Manage multimilliondollar capital budgets optimizing investments in infrastructure technology and personnel.
  • Oversee vendor negotiations and contracts to maximize cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Education:

    • Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Electrical Civil or Industrial Engineering.
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
    • MBA or advanced degree in Engineering Management is a plus.
  • Experience:

    • 15 years of engineering leadership experience with at least 5 years in an executivelevel role (VP SVP or Director of Engineering).
    • Extensive experience in industrial commercial or largescale infrastructure projects.
    • Strong background in mechanical systems structural engineering energy efficiency and plant operations.
    • Proven expertise in leading capital projects managing large teams and optimizing engineering processes.
    • Knowledge of automation advanced manufacturing and sustainability initiatives is a plus.
  • Preferred Certifications:

    • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
    • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) If overseeing energy efficiency projects.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) If leading largescale engineering projects.
    • Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) If focused on manufacturing engineering.
    • OSHA 30Hour Certification For compliance and safety leadership.
