Job Description
Were looking for a Staff Android Engineer to join Procores Documents & Specifications Team. In this role youll collaborate closely with project stakeholders to design and build customer solution to our Documents and Specifications tools on our Android application.
As a Staff Android Engineer youll partner with Engineer Leaders Product Managers Web Engineers and iOS Engineers to build exciting new features while ensuring our app remain up to date on the start of the art technologies and inhouse platform services. Use your Android leadership and communication skills to lead the team through successful releases while also leveling up the Android guild as a whole.
This position reports into the Field Documents & Specifications Engineering Manager and will be based in our Bangalore India office. Were looking for someone to join us immediately.

Enable your teams to deliver complex projects quickly with highquality bar
Leverage your technical proficiency to serve as the goto expert in your technical area
Help set standards for your teams providing technical and procedural advice and decisionmaking
Use a customercentric approach to lead architectural design decisions
Develop fellow teammates by conducting code reviews providing mentorship pairing and training opportunities
Have a significant impact that extends beyond the boundaries of your team on projects affecting scalability performance and new value delivery
Identify large technological issues and opportunities in your area of responsibility and organize your teams to solve these issues
What were looking for: 68 bullets)
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience
7 years of Engineering Experience 5 years of native Android development experience with at least 2 of those years being Kotlin experience)
Broad and deep understanding of Androids architectural components (Room LiveData Jetpack etc. and the MVVM architecture. Experience working with RESTful APIs using JSON.
Experience with Coroutines and Flows
Understanding of multithreading concurrent programming memory management and/or performance optimization
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work closely with others both within and adjacent to the existing team
Experience leading large initiatives with the ability to coursecorrect as needed
