This role is ideal for someone with intermediate technical expertise in IT operations and troubleshooting who can collaborate effectively while contributing to solutions with guidance from senior teams.
What You ll Be Doing
- Deliver BAU support and assist in executing IT infrastructure projects.
- Support core platforms including Wintel and networking environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve intermediatelevel issues across Windows networks and security tools.
- Assist with server and network maintenance including patching and upgrades.
- Configure and maintain nextgeneration firewalls (NGFW) and networking devices under supervision.
- Support deployment and management of cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
- Assist in implementing security solutions like 802.1X authentication VLAN segmentation and endpoint policies.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to meet SLAs and resolve technical issues.
- Use knowledge bases to solve problems and escalate complex issues with clear context.
- Document configurations processes and troubleshooting steps accurately.
Requirements
What You Need to Succeed
- 3 years of handson technical experience (MSP exposure is a plus).
- Ability to work independently with awareness of when to seek guidance.
- Intermediate skills in Windows Server administration (Active Directory DNS DHCP Group Policy).
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP VLANs routing firewall rules).
- Experience assisting with at least one NGFW platform (Palo Alto Fortinet Cisco).
- Proficiency in VMware vSphere or similar virtualization tools for daily tasks.
- Scripting skills (PowerShell/Bash) to automate routine processes.
- Working knowledge of Azure/AWS services (e.g. EC2 S3 Azure AD).
- Understanding of security best practices 802.1X network segmentation endpoint protection).
NicetoHave Skills
- Familiarity with Palo Alto Firewalls.
- Exposure to Aruba WiFi solutions.
- Basic experience with monitoring tools (SNMP API scripting).
- Linux administration (Ubuntu/RHEL).
- Knowledge of Identity Management solutions (e.g. SAML/SSO).
- Understanding of backup solutions and best practices 321 principles).
