Our ideal candidates will have a combination of the following:
Experience in planning implementing and evaluating health program duties
An ability to work independently and take initiative with assignments and projects
Direct case management experience in a medical/social service program
An ability to coordinate and communicate effectively
Proficiency in various computer software programs such as Microsoft Office
Prior experience with Medicaid policy
HCBS Waiver program(s) experience
Experience with personcentered service delivery standards
Experience with training curriculum development
Excellent time management skills
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Public Health Social Work Public Policy Public Administration
Note: as of April 8 2024 DHHS employees will be working a hybrid schedule which includes 2 office days per week and 3 telework days.

Reviewing and approving requests for services in accordance with program policy
Receiving researching and responding to incoming questions providing information explaining policy and procedures and/or facilitate a resolution
Contributing to the development of program policy and service delivery standards
Developing New Choices Waiver specific service delivery training content by researching and leveraging information published by HCBS advocacy groups and federal partners
Contributing to the programs continuous quality improvement projects
Screening negative events experienced by waiver participants and overseeing the investigation of events that rise to the level of meeting Critical Incident criteria and recommending quality improvement measures and ensuring adequate safeguards are implemented by providers in response to a critical incident in the context of a medical program
Processing applications provider enrollment activities and fairhearing coordination
Guiding providers such as case management agencies through challenging cases by leveraging service delivery best practices while ensuring compliance with federal state and program policy
Interfacing daily with participants external providers potential applicants and the public at large to understand federal state and program policy through hosted training workgroups and compliance validation site visits
Occasional instate and overnight travel may be required
