Job Description
- Design and develop piping system layouts using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Prepare detailed 3D models isometric drawings and 2D drawings for construction and installation.
- Review project requirements specifications and design documents to ensure the proper design and layout of piping systems.
- Coordinate with engineers contractors and clients to ensure the piping design meets project objectives.
- Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts within the 3D models using Plant 3D.
- Generate BOM (Bill of Materials) and maintain accurate records of materials and quantities.
- Apply knowledge of piping codes and standards such as ASME ANSI and API for design validation.
- Ensure the design complies with relevant health safety and environmental guidelines.
- Assist in the preparation of project schedules and progress reports.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of designs based on project changes or feedback.
- Provide support to the fabrication and construction teams during installation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D and related tools.
- Strong understanding of piping design principles codes and standards.
- Experience in 3D modeling piping layouts and creating isometric drawings.
- Proficient in P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) interpretation and design.
- Knowledge of clash detection and collision management within Plant 3D.
- Ability to create detailed BOMs piping specifications and design documents.
- Strong understanding of piping materials and equipment (valves flanges fittings etc..
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel and Outlook).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Excellent communication collaboration and organizational skills.
