Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced landscape architect and urban planning to join our team in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. Overseeing and delivering largescale urban development projects that shape the future of our cities.
- Experienced in design design review and PMC/PMO Consultancy.
- Lead and manage complex largescale landscape and urban planning projects from conception to completion
- Timely of design reviews
- Develop and maintain project schedules budgets
- Coordinate crossfunctional teams including architects engineers environmental specialists
- Oversee the preparation of design documents technical reports and presentations
- Ensure projects adhere to sustainable urban design principles and local regulations
- Monitor project progress quality and performance to ensure successful delivery.
- Liaise with clients stakeholders and government authorities to ensure project alignment and compliance
- Mentor and guide junior team members fostering a collaborative work environment
Design Review:
- Critically review landscape designs submitted by external consultants to ensure they align with the projects goals Green Riyadh standards and sustainable design principles.
- Provide constructive feedback to consultants emphasizing adherence to local regulations environmental considerations and aesthetic aspects.
Tender Package Preparation:
- Lead the preparation of comprehensive tender packages for landscape projects detailing design requirements technical specifications and contractual terms.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure tender documents are aligned with project objectives and standards.
Technician Tender Submission Review:
- Evaluate technician tender submissions ensuring compliance with design specifications budget constraints and project timelines.
- Collaborate with procurement and project management teams to select suitable contractors for landscape implementation.
Design Management:
- Take ownership of assigned landscape projects overseeing the design process from conceptualization through construction documentation.
- Coordinate with external consultants architects engineers and other stakeholders to integrate landscape designs seamlessly into the overall project.
Quality Assurance:
- Establish and implement quality assurance processes for landscape designs to maintain consistency excellence and adherence to Green Riyadh standards.
- Conduct regular design audits and assessments to identify and address potential issues proactively.
Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure the successful integration of landscape designs with other project components.
- Manage communication between internal teams and external consultants to streamline the design review and approval process.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that all landscape designs and tender packages comply with local regulations zoning codes and environmental standards.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals for proposed landscape projects.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in landscape architecture or urban design
- Proven experience in reviewing and managing landscape designs including successful project completion.
- Proven track record in delivering largescale urban development projects
- Demonstrated success in coordinating and collaborating with diverse project teams.
- Strong proficiency in design software (AutoCAD SketchUp Adobe Creative Suite etc..
- Excellent project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comprehensive understanding of sustainable design principles and LEED accreditation.
- Good Proficiency in project management software (e.g. Microsoft Project Primavera Excel)
- Strong skills in GIS and CAD software. Handson with Primavera P6 and excel to monitor and control the projects progress and reporting
- Good in Reporting weekly and monthly reports and presentations skills
- Indepth knowledge of sustainable urban design principles
- Thorough understanding of local building codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia
- Familiarity with Middle Eastern landscape and urban planning practices
- Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
- Strong leadership and Excellent team Player
- SelfMotivated Team worker and thinking outside of the box.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous
