Jerrys Auto Group has been in business since 1973 and is located in Northern Virginia. Our Auto Group continues to grow rapidly and we have a position open for an Experienced and Talented Parts Manager.
This is a rare opportunity for a current Parts Manager Assistant Parts Manager or Senior Counter Person to get in with a growing company in the Parts Department. Responsibilities
- Forecast goals and objectives for the parts department
- Hire train and monitor the performance of all parts department staff
- Maintain inventory consistent with the requirements of the various departments
- Create pricing guidelines for customer categories
- Monitor and adjusts the inventory
- Guarantee all parts are properly tagged
- Supervise stock order procedures
- Work closely with service manager and body shop manager to ensure timely turnaround of parts needed
- Provides technical assistance when necessary
- Develop and enforce guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
- Enforce safety requirements
- Maintain a professional appearance
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in a General Motors or Chevy parts management position such as Parts Manager Assistant Parts Manager or Lead Counter Person
- GM certification is preferred
- Technical automotive knowledge
- Management experience and skills
- Computer literacy
- Good communication skills
- Basic understanding of inventory and reporting
