Job Description
IT Summer Intern
We are seeking a motivated and proactive IT Intern with a foundation in Python programming and ObjectOriented Programming (OOP) principles. The intern will assist our development team in various stages of software development in an Agile environment. The individual will gain handson experience in coding testing report design / creation and database principles.
What youll do:
- Assist in documentation and understanding of User Stories
- Participating in the creation / maintenance of program specifications
- Collaborate with other developers to troubleshoot debug and upgrade existing software utilizing Python libraries and frameworks.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
- Document and maintain solution / software functionality.
- Create / update PowerBI reports
- Create / update task information in Jira
- Participate in team meetings
What is required:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field holding a Junior or Senior standing.
- Proficiency in Python programming language.
- Strong understanding of ObjectOriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Familiarity with Python libraries and frameworks (e.g. Django Flask PEP 8 / clean code design principles) is a plus.
- Familiarity with GIT is a plus.
- Basic SQL understanding
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills
