Job Description
Join the Artifact Hosting and Ingestion team as an Infrastructure Engineer where you will be instrumental in managing software artifact repositories and overseeing custom software ingestion processes. This position blends Python development with DevOps practices across a diverse tech stack that includes Java Python onpremise systems and AWS cloud technologies with a strong emphasis on networking HA Proxy and Kong.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer software artifact repositories using both proprietary systems and Sonatype Nexus
- Design implement and maintain custom software ingestion processes in Python
- Ensure high performance availability and monitoring of production services
- Operate and maintain business applications in Linux environments with a focus on robust networking solutions
- Manage network infrastructure components such as HA Proxy Kong (strongly preferred) and Apache
- Leverage AWS technologies (RDS S3 EC2 in production environments
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform GitLab and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of SBOM (Software Bill of Materials) to ensure compliance with US government requirements for software suppliers
- Troubleshoot and manage distributed systems in production with a high level of reliability and performance
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in Python development within a DevOps context
- Handson experience with AWS services: RDS S3 and EC2
- Familiarity with Terraform GitLab and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
- Indepth knowledge of HA Proxy and Kong (strongly preferred) as well as Apache
- Experience administering Sonatype Nexus or JFrog Artifactory is a strong plus
- Solid experience in managing distributed systems in production environments
- Strong problemsolving abilities and attention to detail
- Effective communication in English both written and spoken
