We are hiring for our client a leading MEP Contractor seeking a skilled Mechanical & Electrical Design Manager to join their team in Ballymena. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse project portfolio driving innovation and efficiency in mechanical electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems.
As the Mechanical & Electrical Design Manager you will be instrumental in overseeing design processes managing a dynamic team and ensuring seamless coordination across disciplines. The Role:
- Oversee the design and integration of MEP systems including HVAC electrical and safety systems ensuring costefficiency and quality.
- Manage the MEP design team assigning tasks monitoring progress and mentoring team members.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to meet project goals.
- Review and ensure compliance with design specifications codes and regulations.
- Drive Value Engineering (VE) processes while maintaining compliance and project objectives.
- Support tendering processes with technical expertise and develop engineering reports for project bids.
The Person:
- Thirdlevel education in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in managing design or engineering teams within the construction sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with BIM modeling is a plus.
- Membership in IET IHEEM or CIBSE (preferred but not essential).
