Job Description
Our client is looking for an Electrical Inspector (contract) for some ad hoc/intermittent work. The contract could also provide full time hours at times.
Responsibilities:
- 3rdparty inspection activities of lattice steel transmission towers steel foundations overhead conductors insulators OPGW OHGW and associated hardware.
- Transmission Tower and Foundation: To monitor the manufacturing on a regular basis over the duration of the manufacturing schedule as well as witness prototype assembly and material bundling.
- Conductor manufacturing and testing: To monitor the manufacturing on a regular basis over the duration of the manufacturing schedule.
- Guy wire OPGW OPGW hardware and OHGW (shield wire) may require inspectors to witness multiple tests at test facilities certified to ISO/IEC 17025:2015 as well as provide inspection services at manufacturing facilities. Miscellaneous hardware while generally from supply houses may require additional inspections
Qualifications :
- Must have a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician and a Certified Engineering Technologist in Electrical Engineering diploma
- A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering would be an asset.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with transmission lines lattice transmission towers and foundations conductors and associated components such as insulators OPGW OHGW and associated hardware.
- Experience with power station construction and interconnection transmission line would be an asset.
- Should be familiar with CSA IEC ASTM and any other codes or standards as they apply to the products
- Contract could be up to 2 years
- Pay rate: $65/$75 hr
