Experience Required: 35 years of experience
Your role will involve using advanced software tools to create and analyze structural models as well as conducting site visits to assess project feasibility and progress. You will also be responsible for preparing detailed reports and documentation and for presenting your designs to clients and stakeholders .In this field you work to create safe interesting and functional structures such as buildings bridges and more. A structural designer is responsible for creating the structure designs for their organization. This involves: Drafting computer models based on needs. Structural designers and engineers typically work on projects such as roads tunnels bridges buildings towers airports and dams. They ensure that structures can withstand external forces and pressures including high winds earthquakes or the weight of materials used in construction.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Structural Design & Analysis:
o Develop structural designs for projects using software like STAAD
Pro SAP2000 and AutoCAD.
o Perform detailed structural analysis and ensure designs meet all
safety durability and functionality standards.
2.Project Coordination:
o Collaborate with architects project managers and construction
teams to deliver optimal design solutions.
o Review and approve structural drawings and documentation.
3.Compliance & Standards:
o Ensure designs comply with relevant codes standards and
regulations.
o Conduct quality assurance checks to maintain high engineering
standards.
4.Technical Documentation:
o Prepare and maintain all technical documentation related to
structural design.
o Generate reports presentations and calculations to support
project approvals.
5.Continuous Improvement:
o Keep uptodate with advancements in design tools technologies
and materials.
o Provide suggestions for improving structural efficiency and
reducing costs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in STAAD Pro SAP2000 and
AutoCAD.
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural
Engineering or a related field.
Experience: 35 years in structural design and analysis with a proven
track record of handling diverse projects.
Analytical Skills: Ability to solve complex structural problems with
precision.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to
effectively present ideas and collaborate with teams.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality in design
deliverables.
