We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Instrumentation Design Engineer to join our clients engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing developing and implementing instrumentation systems for industrial projects across sectors like Oil & Gas Power Petrochemical and Process Industries. This role involves preparing engineering documents ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams for successful project execution.
Prepare and review Instrumentation Design Deliverables such as:
Instrument Index
I/O List
Instrument Datasheets
Hook-up Drawings
Loop Diagrams
Cable Schedules
Design layouts for field instruments junction boxes and control panels.
Participate in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies and design reviews.
Interface with other engineering disciplines (Process Mechanical Electrical etc.) for coordinated design.
Select appropriate instrumentation based on process requirements and project specifications.
Work with DCS/PLC vendors for system integration and I/O interface documentation.
Ensure compliance with international standards such as IEC ISA ATEX and SIL requirements.
Review vendor documents and support procurement activities.
Provide technical support during installation testing and commissioning phases.
Maintain project documentation and ensure deliverables meet quality and timeline requirements.
Bachelors Degree in Instrumentation Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation / EEE or related field.
4 6 years of relevant experience in Instrumentation Design in EPC or consulting companies.
Familiarity with tools such as SPI (SmartPlant Instrumentation) AutoCAD and MS Office.
Strong knowledge of instrumentation standards (ISA IEC ANSI).
Proficiency in interpreting P&IDs and PFDs.
Hands-on experience with 2D/3D modeling tools for instrumentation layout.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting and client interaction.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
