Job Description
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Junior Site Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in civil engineering and handson experience working on construction sites. As a Junior Site Engineer you will be responsible for assisting in the planning and supervision of construction projects ensuring that all work is completed on time within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Supervision and Coordination:
Assist in supervising daytoday site operations and construction activities.
Ensure work is carried out according to design safety standards and project specifications.
Coordinate with subcontractors suppliers and internal teams to ensure the smooth flow of materials and resources onsite.
Quality Control and Compliance:
Monitor construction processes to ensure compliance with engineering standards safety regulations and project specifications.
Conduct inspections and ensure that the quality of work meets project requirements.
Report any deviations from the plan and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
Project Documentation:
Maintain detailed and accurate records of site activities materials used work progress and any site issues.
Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the senior project manager or site supervisor.
Assist in preparing daily site reports and updating construction logs.
Site Planning and Scheduling:
Assist in preparing site work schedules and tracking project progress.
Help coordinate and plan the delivery of materials and machinery to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Ensure site works are progressing as per the schedule and assist in resolving any delays.
Health and Safety:
Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies onsite to maintain a safe working environment.
Assist in conducting regular safety inspections and audits.
Promote and ensure a high standard of health and safety practices among workers and contractors.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with architects engineers and other construction professionals to ensure the successful completion of the project.
Communicate effectively with team members subcontractors and clients to ensure all project requirements are understood and met.
Problem Solving and Issue Resolution:
Identify and resolve onsite technical issues and challenges.
Proactively manage potential problems by coordinating with relevant teams to find timely solutions.
Requirements
Requirements:
Experience: A minimum of 3 to 4 years experience working as a Site Engineer on similar construction projects.
Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of construction practices materials and techniques.
Familiarity with construction documentation and project management software.
Proficiency in engineering design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D etc. is a plus.
Good communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to work in a team and coordinate with various stakeholders.
Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
A basic understanding of safety standards and regulations in construction.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of site management and construction planning.
Experience with site inspections and quality control.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
