Job Title: Transport Planner

Location: Leeds UK

Type: FullTime Permanent

We are looking for a Transport Planner to join a specialist transport planning consultancy that has built a strong reputation through repeat business and referrals. This role offers exposure to a diverse range of projects and the opportunity to work with both public and private sector clients across industries such as residential commercial industrial education and renewable energy.

The Role: Transport Planning & Consultancy

This role will involve working on a variety of transport and highwaysrelated projects. You will support senior staff in preparing reports conducting traffic analyses and liaising with clients and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Writing Transport Statements (TS) and Traffic Impact Assessments (TA) supporting senior staff in preparing more complex reports.
  • Preparing Travel Plans including conducting travel surveys and analysis.
  • Leading and supporting senior staff in the preparation of traffic models.
  • Organising and analysing traffic survey data.
  • Carrying out site visits and traffic survey work.
  • Producing accurate drawings to support technical reports.
  • Liaising with colleagues clients and coprofessionals.
  • Attending client and professional meetings.
  • Carrying out administrative tasks such as compiling technical reports and setting up new projects.

Desirable Skills:

  • Visibility assessments and swept path analysis.
  • Preliminary access design.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and GIS.
  • Reviewing internal layouts for serviceability and functionality.
  • Preparing quotations for new work.

What Were Looking For:

  • Degreequalified in a relevant discipline.
  • 25 years of experience in a consultancy or relevant transport planning role (higher experience levels will also be considered).
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
