Job Description:

Our engineering firm in Dallas TX is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer (PE) with 5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing developing and overseeing electrical systems for various commercial industrial and infrastructure projects. This role requires expertise in power distribution lighting control systems and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for commercial industrial and infrastructure projects.
  • Perform power distribution lighting and control system design calculations and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC NFPA IEEE and other relevant industry codes and standards.
  • Conduct site inspections evaluations and technical assessments.
  • Coordinate with architects mechanical engineers contractors and clients to ensure project success.
  • Oversee project documentation including specifications drawings and reports.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
  • Support project bidding cost estimation and scheduling efforts.

Requirements:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe).
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 5 years of experience in electrical engineering preferably in a consulting or engineering firm.
  • Strong knowledge of power systems lighting grounding and control systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit SKM or similar electrical design software.
  • Excellent problemsolving communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with renewable energy power distribution and building automation systems.
  • Familiarity with local Dallas building codes and permitting processes.
  • LEED accreditation or other relevant certifications.
