We are delighted to assist a highly successful supermarket chain in Cork City known for its distinguished stores and commitment to excellence in fresh food retail. Our client is seeking an experienced Fresh Food Manager to oversee a dynamic team of chargehands and Trainees. This role is based in a newly renovated modern supermarket that stands out as a premier destination for quality fresh foods. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fresh food operations particularly in a highvolume or bigbox retail environment and demonstrate strong leadership problemsolving and performancedriven skills.
Package & Benefits
Contract: Fulltime 43 hours per week

Key Responsibilities for this Fresh Food Manager job
- Proven ability to lead mentor and develop a highperforming team fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Fresh Food Expertise: Extensive experience in fresh food retail supermarkets catering or food service with a deep understanding of food safety quality control and stock management.
- Business & Financial Acumen: Demonstrated experience in driving sales managing P&L controlling costs and optimising margins within fresh food departments.
- Operational Excellence: Strong attention to detail ensuring the highest standards in product presentation stock rotation waste management and overall store hygiene.
- Organisational & Multitasking Skills: Ability to prioritise tasks effectively meet deadlines and maintain operational efficiency in a fastpaced highpressure environment.
- Adaptability & Flexibility: Willingness to work a variety of shifts typically mornings occasional evenings and Sundays to support business needs.
