Professional Maternity Nurse Required Hackney London
Happy Nest is delighted to support a firsttime family in Hackney in their search for an experienced and professional maternity nurse. This is a wonderful opportunity to provide expert care and guidance to new parents helping them navigate the early weeks with their newborn.
About the Role:
The family is expecting their baby in early July 2025 with the maternity nurse required to start on July 7th 2025. They are looking for a warm knowledgeable and supportive professional who can provide specialist maternity care while giving confidence in their parenting journey.
The role will involve:
- Assisting with breastfeeding support and/or bottlefeeding guidance including sterilisation if expressing.
- Providing full newborn care including nappy changes bathing soothing techniques and establishing a gentle sleep routine.
- Supporting the parents with advice education and reassurance tailored to their needs.
- Helping to create a calm nurturing environment for both baby and parents.
The family has allocated a private bedroom for the maternity nurse to ensure comfort during the placement and is happy if you need to commute in or live in.
Schedule & Duration:
- Initial commitment of 6 weeks with the potential for an extension.
- A mix of three 24hour shifts per week plus overnight support six nights a week.
- Competitive pay dependent on experience and qualifications.
- Potential to travel to the familys other homes in either Jersey or Ross on Wye on occasion when you will have your own bathroom and bedroom.
Essential Requirements:
To be considered for this role candidates must meet the following criteria:
A fully Enhanced DBS check (on the update service) assistance available via the agency.
An indate Paediatric First Aid certificate.
Strong references from previous private maternity roles.
Previous experience as a private maternity nurse working with newborns.
A relevant qualification or certification (e.g. NEST Level 3 MNT Level 3 BabyEm HATA Midwifery or similar.
