Job Description

Job Title: RN House Supervisor

Location: Kane PA

Shift Type: Nights

Shift Schedule:

  • 6:00 PM 6:00 AM
  • Two days on two days off three days on (rotating schedule)
  • Hourly Rate: $32.00 per hour
  • Night Shift Differential: $1.75 per hour

Role Overview:

The Registered Nurse (RN) House Supervisor oversees nursing services to ensure residents receive highquality care in compliance with state and federal regulations. The RN directs LPNs and nursing assistants ensures proper of care plans and maintains a safe and organized healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

  • Administer and document medications treatments and glucose monitoring as ordered.
  • Accurately transcribe physician orders and complete monthly summaries.
  • Ensure care plans are updated based on resident conditions and guide staff accordingly.
  • Notify the RN Supervisor of significant changes in resident conditions.
  • Assist physicians during rounds examinations and treatments.
  • Collect and document laboratory specimens (urine cultures stool etc..
  • Supervise and assist with postmortem procedures and resident belongings collection.
  • Encourage resident participation in scheduled activities.

Supervisory Duties:

  • Supervise and direct nursing assistants and LPNs in resident care implementation.
  • Assist with annual evaluations of nursing assistants and performance assessments.
  • Adjust staffing assignments to ensure optimal resident care.
  • Conduct team conferences and ensure policy compliance.
  • Monitor and document infection control compliance and quality assurance studies.
  • Assist in training and onboarding new nursing staff.

Administrative & Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate resident medical records using Physicians Computer Company (PCC) EHR/EMR.
  • Ensure compliance with medication storage and disposal protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and report potential hazards.
  • Submit maintenance requests and assist in housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Attend care plan conferences inservice training and staff meetings.
