We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Builder to join our dynamic team in Elgin IL. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling installing and testing complex machinery according to engineering drawings and specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation
- Familiarity with measurement and layout techniques
- Knowledge of assembly and installation procedures
- Troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools power tools and measuring instruments (e.g. calipers micrometers)
- Good mechanical ability and manual dexterity
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at varying frequencies
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work overtime as required
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints schematics and other technical documentation
- Assemble machinery components using hand tools power tools and specialized equipment
- Ensure proper alignment fitting and securing of components
- Perform quality checks throughout the assembly process
- Install assembled machinery in designated locations and connect to power sources
- Conduct thorough testing of installed machinery
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or electrical issues
- Follow workplace safety standards
- Assist team members in other areas as needed to meet daily production goals
- Participate in problemsolving and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machine Builder in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- High School diploma or GED; technical or vocational school in a relevant field preferred
