Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Hourly Rate: $22.23 $27.37 (based on experience)
Shift: Varied 3x12
Job Overview:
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will assist providers in managing patient flow and delivering highquality care in an urgent care clinic setting. This role involves working with patients of all ages from infants to geriatrics ensuring efficient and effective clinical operations. The CMA will collaborate with the Clinic Supervisor Clinic Manager and Providers to meet organizational goals and provide patientcentered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care:
- Perform standard patient rooming procedures including taking vitals and reviewing patient history.
- Administer immunizations injections and medications as directed by providers.
- Collect laboratory specimens and conduct basic lab tests.
- Provide telephone support and facilitate communication between patients and providers.
- Assist with prescription refills.
- Perform xray duties if certified and required.
- Conduct phlebotomy procedures as needed.
Clinic Support:
- Assist with front desk operations including patient checkin.
- Order and stock medical supplies.
- Manage prior authorization processes for procedures and medications.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Adhere to all legal regulatory and procedural requirements.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with organizational and legal standards.
- Accurately document all patient interactions and clinical tasks in electronic medical records.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education:High school diploma or GED (required).
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (required).
- Certification & Licensure:Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) (required).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required).
- Experience:Previous experience in a clinical setting (required).
- Passed xray operators examination or willingness to take the exam based on clinic needs.
- Skills:Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in using computer software applications.
- Travel using a personal vehicle may be required for Occupational Medicine settings.
