Calling all passionate Music Teachers!

Do you have the drive and talent to nurture a love of music in young people is a thriving secondary school in Sutton committed to providing a highquality music education that develops students musical talents creativity and appreciation for the arts.

About the Music Teacher Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Music Teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful Music Teacher will have the opportunity to teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4 inspiring students of all abilities and nurturing their musical potential.

What youll do as a Music Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Music lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and musical interests.
  • Create a dynamic and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to express themselves musically.
  • Teach a variety of musical instruments and vocal techniques.
  • Lead and direct school choirs and instrumental ensembles.
  • Organised and participate in school concerts and musical productions.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in Music providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Contribute to the development of the Music curriculum and departmental resources.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Music teaching.

What youll need to be a successful Music Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Music or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Music at the secondary level.
  • A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Music.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for Music and a commitment to inspiring students.
