Enable and foster technology and innovative product creation in Adhesive Systems US by:
- Leading the crossTC innovation team Adhesive Systems US
- Understanding and linking customer needs with Sikas technology competence creating new solution concepts
- Conducting research projects in the field of adhesive systems and developing and introducing new and innovative solutions
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Transfer of knowhow within the company particularly to product development and sales organizations; advise management regarding R&D strategy and priorities
- Coordinate the US Adhesive Systems Innovation Team (experts from all TCs) ensuring regular knowhow exchange and structured problem solving of chemical challenges
- Gain customer insight through interactions with business sales and customers presenting Sikas technological capabilities to initiate projects
- Initiate plan manage and execute research and development projects according to Sikas stage gate process (PCP) including projects carried out with internal and external partners (universities supplies customers)
- Develop and patent technology with application in the field of Adhesive Systems an publish technical content in literature and conferences
- Manage team staff by creating efficient organizational structure planning and assigning project work providing resources informing at appropriate level carrying out performance appraisals and promoting and challenging employees
- Report progress to superiors at internal review meetings and audit
Responsibility / Power of Authority:
- Freedom in defining methods and tools to best carry out research within budget limits
- Access to any information necessary to conduct won work efficiently

Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in Organic Chemistry Polymer Science or similar discipline is required.
- 10 Years experience in an R&D environment
- Strong background in polymer synthesis and characterization
- Structureproperty understanding of diverse application areas Excellent written verbal and communication skills Ability to work in highly collaborative fast paced crossfunctional environment involving global customers labs and manufacturing sites
- Welldeveloped time management skills with the ability to work on and lead multiple projects simultaneously
- Creativity ingenuity curiosity and initiative Willing to learn from other scientists and senior technicians on product processing and testing
Compensation Range: $125000$188000 per year
