Operate and support global compute platforms including CentOS and RedHat Enterprise Linux 7/8/9 Ubuntu Linux 20.04/22.04 VMware vSphere 7.0 and server hardware including HPE Dell Ciara and Blackcore
Perform VM Create/Change/Delete operations via Terraform. Handle common change requests such as adding CPU cores RAM and disk space
Monitor and maintain multiple Kafka deployments responding to alerts that could affect service availability or performance and perform routine maintenance such as Kafka/Zookeeper node upgrades while maintaining service
Operate and support global storage platforms including Block: Pure Storage over iSCSI (including ActiveCluster synchronous replication) File: NetApp over NFS/SMB (SVMDR and Metrocluster deployments) Object: AWS S3 and NetApp StorageGRID Data Protection: Rubrik and AWS Backup
Other duties as assigned.
Must Have Skills/Qualifications:
- College Graduate of BS Computer Science or any related field
- At least 5 years experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role
- Strong experience with CentOS and RedHat Enterprise Linux 7/8/9 Ubuntu Linux 20.04/22.04 VMWare vSphere 7.0 and server hardware including HPE Dell Ciara and Blackcore
- Operate and support global compute platforms including CentOS and RedHat Enterprise Linux 7/8/9 Ubuntu Linux 20.04/22.04 VMware vSphere 7.0 and server hardware including HPE Dell Ciara Blackcore
- Perform VM Create/Change/Delete operations via Terraform. Handle common change requests such as adding CPU cores RAM and disk space.
- Must be amenable to NIGHT SHIFT SCHEDULE
