Job Description
Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist General
Location: Keene NH
Shift Type: Nights
Shift Schedule: 9:00 PM 6:30 AM 36 hours/week)
Annual Salary: $65000 $101000 (based on experience)
Role Overview:
Under the general direction of the Associate Director of Radiology and the direct supervision of the Ultrasound Supervisor or Vascular Lab Supervisor the Ultrasound Technologist independently performs invasive and diagnostic ultrasound procedures. This role requires clinical competence independent decisionmaking and collaboration with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure accurate diagnostic imaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently perform established ultrasound procedures with precision.
- Maintain clinical competence through direct patient care activities.
- Utilize knowledge of ultrasound physics to adjust instrumentation settings appropriately.
- Make independent decisions regarding procedure complexity and duration.
- Consult with radiologists and referring physicians regarding diagnostic imaging results.
- Assist in patient scheduling and coordination with other departments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Implement and oversee quality control testing programs for diagnostic equipment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to ultrasound procedures.
Requirements:
- ARDMS certification required.
- BLS (AHA) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of working experience in ultrasound.
- Strong understanding of diagnostic imaging protocols and patient care.
