Job Description

This job contributes to Starbucks success by assisting the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts and providing legendary customer service. Deploys partners and delegates tasks so partners can effectively meet store goals for sales and customer service. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.
  • Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create the Third Place environment during each shift.
  • Delivers legendary customer service to all customers and models customer service methods and approaches for shift team.
  • Greets and welcomes customers discovers and responds to customer needs.
  • Follows up with shift team to ensure the effective delivery of customer service.
  • Executes store operations during scheduled shifts.
  • Directs partners to various work stations or to perform tasks ensuring that service and operational needs are met.
  • Follows company policies in assigning and carrying out operational tasks; communicates operational standards to shift team.
  • Organizes and performs opening and closing duties as assigned. Assists in shift scheduling.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Provides feedback to store manager on partner performance during shift. Recognizes and reinforces individual accomplishments.
  • Assists with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
  • Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing partner issues and changes in morale and communicating them to the store manager.
  • Utilizes and directs others to use operational tools to achieve operational excellence during the shift.
  • Conducts cash management tasks and cash register transactions; ensures that proper cash management practices are followed by shift team.
  • Stocks merchandizes rotates and stores inventory according to guidelines. Performs accounting and banking tasks as assigned.
  • Maintains retail and small sweet fixtures. Familiarize self with Sirens eye for each promotion.

Qualifications:

  • Customer service experience in a retail or food & beverage environment minimum 1 year
  • Ability to direct the work of others
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Effective oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of the retail environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to build relationships
