Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Civil Engineering Practice Lead to lead and expand our civil engineering practice. This seniorlevel position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of leadership technical expertise and business development in the civil engineering industry. The ideal candidate will have 1520 years of experience a Professional Engineer (PE) license and expertise in at least two of the following areas: Civil Engineering Transportation/Traffic Engineering Surveying or Drainage/Water Resources Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for the civil engineering practice ensuring alignment with company goals and industry best practices.
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers surveyors and technical professionals fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
  • Oversee resource allocation workload distribution and team development to ensure efficient project and highquality deliverables.

Project Management & Technical Oversight

  • Manage and oversee complex civil engineering projects from planning through construction ensuring compliance with regulations budgets and timelines.
  • Provide technical guidance and quality control across multiple disciplines ensuring innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
  • Review and approve project designs reports and specifications to maintain the highest standards of engineering integrity.

Business Development & Client Relations

  • Develop and execute strategies to expand the civil engineering practice identifying new business opportunities and industry trends.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships serving as a key liaison between the firm and clients government agencies and industry partners.
  • Lead proposal development contract negotiations and client presentations to secure new projects and grow the firm's market presence.

Operational & Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop longterm business plans budgets and resource strategies for the civil engineering practice.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements technology adoption and operational efficiencies to enhance project delivery.
  • Stay up to date with industry advancements regulatory changes and emerging trends to ensure the firm remains at the forefront of the industry.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 1520 years of experience in civil engineering transportation/traffic engineering surveying or drainage/water resources engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and growing a multidisciplinary engineering team.
  • Proven ability to develop business opportunities secure projects and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of civil infrastructure transportation systems drainage design land development and/or surveying.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D MicroStation HECRAS Synchro GIS or other industry tools.
  • Excellent leadership communication and problemsolving skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines.
