The ERP Manager is responsible for overseeing the internal ERP team and ensuring the effective management implementation and continuous improvement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. This role includes leading the internal ERP team to support companywide ERP needs while also participating in external solution proposals costing and implementation of Microsoft and potentially other ERP and CRM systems and applications in collaboration with partners for functional consulting development and project management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background project management expertise and the ability to align ERP initiatives with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal ERP Management & Support
Lead a team of three ERP professionals ensuring efficient internal support and system optimization.
Establish and implement support and escalation procedures including training and development of the 2nd level support team and coaching of the 1st level support team.
Monitor and maintain the security integrity and availability of ERP systems.
Manage and document ERP system configurations upgrades and customizations.
Develop and enforce ERP policies procedures and best practices for system administration.
ERP Strategy & Process Optimization
Collaborate with stakeholders (Finance HR Business Analysts and other departments) to define and execute an ERP strategy that aligns with business needs.
Review and assess BI/MIS requirements including evaluating current ERP tools and data security.
Ensure optimal system performance by implementing best practices in data governance and user access control.
Drive process automation initiatives such as integrating workforce attendance with security badge readers and mobility solutions for field operations.
External ERP Projects & Partner Collaboration
Participate in the scoping costing and development of technical proposals for external ERP solutions.
Act as the ERP technical lead in external projects working with partners on functional consulting system development and project management.
Oversee project ensuring deliverables meet business requirements and project deadlines.
Support business process optimization by reviewing development proposals with key stakeholders.
Vendor & Contract Management
Manage supplier contracts with ERP implementation and development partners.
Oversee thirdparty vendor engagements ensuring service delivery aligns with agreed SLAs and company expectations.
Handle escalations to external consultants or developers when required.
Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Supervise and mentor the ERP team including career development training programs and performance reviews.
Establish a structured framework for ERP knowledge management and documentation.
Stay updated on emerging ERP trends and best practices recommending necessary upgrades or system improvements.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
Track ERP/MIS performance metrics to ensure alignment with business KPIs.
Conduct system audits to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
Stay updated on industry trends to recommend upgrades and enhancements.
Gather stakeholder feedback to refine ERP functionalities.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Information Technology Business Administration or a related field.
ERPrelated certifications (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC/CRM) are a plus.
PMP PRINCE2 or Agile/Scrum certification is an advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in ERP management IT project management or similar roles.
Handson experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) and CRM.
Proven track record in ERP implementation system administration and process optimization.
Experience in managing internal support teams and working with external ERP partners.
