Get to know the Team:
We are the Grab Payment Platform team responsible for providing fundamental technological capabilities for Grab payments and other Grab Finance products. Join Grabs engineering team and contribute to innovation in the area of payments. You will develop consumer and partnerfacing features for one of Southeast Asias most widely used applications.
Get To Know The Role
We are looking for a passionate Lead Engineer with platform design and development experience to join our team. You will have opportunities to architect design develop and maintain mission critical financial systems and services. You will chart and lead the pursuit of the broader technical strategy working with engineering product managers and business owners. You will be a barraiser for the team steering engineering while coaching peers. If you are to identify and fix our users pain points apply with us today. You will be reporting to the Head Of Engineering. This is an onsite role in Bangalore.
The Critical task you will perform
- Architect and design complex payment systems with a platformdriven approach ensuring scalability maintainability and setting for availability performance and efficiency across Grabs product ecosystem.
- Partner with teams including product and experience teams to shape technical decisions and define feature specifications that create meaningful and lasting impact.
- Lead projects as an engineering owner while mentoring and guiding engineering teams encouraging growth.
- Provide constructive feedback on code design and technical proposals advocate for best practices and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and software performance optimization.
- Work with SRE and DevOps teams to enhance system reliability scalability and overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications :
What essential skills you will need
- Foundation in data structures algorithms operating systems and networking.
- At least 8 years of experience with 5 years dedicated to designing and building scalable systems.
- Highlevel design decisions and define technical standards including software development best practices tools and platforms.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language preferably Golang with experience in backend systems involving databases caching NoSQL and application servers.
- Experience with cloud services OLTP systems and consumerfacing products.
- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Information Technology or a related field.
