Job Description
The Role:
- Fulltime KS5 History Specialist to join a leading academic school in Havering.
- Deliver engaging and challenging ALevel History lessons fostering critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Develop and implement enrichment activities including historical debates lectures and museum visits.
- Contribute to the departmental strategy for achieving outstanding ALevel results.
- Provide academic guidance and support to students including university application assistance.

The Ideal Candidate:
- A passionate and highly knowledgeable History specialist with a proven ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Extensive experience teaching ALevel History and a deep understanding of the curriculum.
- Ability to create stimulating and engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Strong commitment to student achievement and a proactive approach to academic support.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in History or a related field.
- Significant experience teaching ALevel History with a demonstrable track record of success.
- Knowledge of current assessment practices and curriculum developments.
- Right to work in the UK.
