General Responsibilities

Under the direction of an Early Care and Education (ECE) Manager the Infant Early Childhood Mental Health Supervisor will provide clinical and reflective supervision for ECE staff providing mental and behavioral health services in early learning settings including communitybased child care families homes and Educational Service District 112 operated direct service programs.

Salary:
The full range for this position is$86424.00 $105164.80. Important: offers are made at the entry level of the range.

Assignment:
This position will work fulltime yearround. This work can be hybrid. Full remote work is available to residents of Washington State.

A health exam tuberculosis B test proof of Measles Mumps and Rubella immunity and a portable background clearance through the Department of Children Youth and Families are required prior to the start date. Remote work is available

Essential Functions/Other Functions

Essential Functions:

  1. Provide clinical supervision and support to clinicians and consultants working with infants young children and their families.
  2. Ensure that therapeutic interventions are developmentally culturally and linguistically appropriate and are evidencebased.
  3. Support therapists with the diagnostic process.
  4. Facilitate professional development with a focus on infant and early childhood mental health including training modeling coaching and reflecting.
  5. Participate in training and become proficient in ECE program requirements related to mental and behavioral health for young children families and staff.
  6. Provide regular case consultation and encourage clinicians and consultants to reflect on their work and offer support to address concerns and challenges.
  7. Promote a collaborative approach to case management involving multidisciplinary teams as applicable.
  8. Monitor documentation and provide feedback to include but not limited to assessments individual service plans progress notes required consents releases of information and other legal documentation.
  9. Conduct observations of mental health consultants and therapists.
  10. Participate in initiatives grant implementation and other projects designed to enhance ECE services.
  11. Participate in community and/or provider collaboratives workgroups and meetings regarding mental and behavioral health and/or ECE centers as assigned.
Other Functions:
  1. Attend center staffing meetings when appropriate.
  2. Provide training and consultation for ECE staff on infant and early childhood mental health.
  3. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Masters degree or higher in Mental Health or Social Work.
  2. Washington State Department of Health Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor Advanced Social Worker or Independent Clinical Social Worker.
  3. Qualify as an Approved Clinical Supervisor as stated in WAC.
  4. Experience with infant early childhood mental health and working with young children and families.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Bilingual.
  2. Experience working with community providers.
  3. Knowledge of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

  1. Flexible work hours required.
  2. Travel within the ESD 112 region.
