GENERAL SUMMARY/OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
Postdoctoral fellowship available in RNA sequencing and integrative genomics. The position is in the Channing Division of Network Medicine at Brigham and Womens Hospital and Harvard Medical School Boston MA. Brigham and Womens Hospital is consistently ranked one of the top 10 hospitals in the United States and the second largest recipient of NIH funding among independent hospitals with over 1000 principal investigators. The Division of Network Medicine is a research division within the Department of Medicine whose goal is to define the etiology and reclassify complex disease using network and systemsbased approaches and includes some of the largest populationbased and pulmonary cohorts in the world.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The fellow will be responsible for analysis of RNA sequencing data and integration with genotype genome sequencing and other omics datasets within a large study of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) the third leading cause of death in the United States.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful candidates should have PhD in bioinformatics computational biology genetics statistics or a related field. Experience in gene expression and/or RNA sequencing is beneficial and knowledge of R/Bioconductor is required.
