Hybrid Cloud DevOps Engineer

What will you work on

• Design and deployment of CI/CD infrastructure. As part of the DevOps team you work on and deploy the CI/CD infrastructure. At the base are tools to  help automate the parts of software development related to building testing and deploying facilitating continuous integration and continuous delivery. It are serverbased systems that run in servlet containers. You use configuration automation (cookbooks roles environments chefvault) Tools like Docker for service and build containers tools for the storage of binaries and tools for version control of the code. All to be integrated in the cloud for automated node management. For gluing it all together a combination of various scripting languages are required:Python Ruby Bash SQL Jenkinsfiles and Makefiles are used
• It isnt uncommon for DevOps to be called to mentor software developers and architecture teams within an organization to teach them how to create software that is easily scalable. They also collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure quality releases. Some DevOps teams include DevSecOps which applies DevOps principles to proactive security measures.
• DevOps Engineers need to develop looking at the big picture. Infrastructure planning is what DevOps Engineers are hired to do. The ability to plan integrations and additions across many systems is what separates the Cloud Database Manager from the DevOps Engineer.

Who will you work with

• You are part of an EndtoEnd Open Source Devops & Open Network Infra team.
• You will work with Clients Business & Technical employees to capture discuss create build deliver & verify Agile Cloud solutions.
• You work on flexible daily basis onsite at clients office at DVTs or Homeoffice.  
• The practice manager is your responsible manager your guide concerning career path

Qualifications :

Technical Skills and Experience:

1. Programming and Scripting: Knowledge of at least one scripting language (e.g. Python Bash) and familiarity with programming concepts.
2. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with tools like Terraform Ansible Chef or Puppet for automating the setup and management of infrastructure.
3. Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in cloud services (AWS Azure Google Cloud Platform) including the management of cloud infrastructure and services.
4. Containers and Orchestration: Experience with containerization tools (Kubernetes OpenShift) for deploying and managing containerized applications.
5. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins GitLab CI or GitHub Actions to automate testing and deployment processes.
6. Version Control Systems: Proficient in using version control systems especially Git for source code management.
7. Monitoring and Logging: Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus Grafana ELK stack) for keeping track of the systems health and troubleshooting issues.
8. Networking and Security Basics: Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP HTTP/S SSL/TLS) and basic security practices.

Educational Background:

• A bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related fields is preferred.
• Certifications in cloud platforms Linux administration virtualization IaC container orchestration or security can be beneficial.
