We are currently looking for aECU Bus Communication Analysis Engineer will focus on analyzing the communication traces of vehicle communication buses identifying transmission issues energy consumption and ensuring adherence to clientspecific protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring & Analysis of ECU Communication:
- Ensure the correct exchange of messages on communication buses (CAN CANFD Ethernet LIN FlexRay).
- Verify the adherence to required communication protocols according to customer specifications.
- Analyze traffic trace files to detect potential errors or anomalies in communication.
- Wakeup / Sleep & Energy Consumption Monitoring:
- Monitor ECU wakeup and sleep behavior to ensure compliance with lowpower states (sleep mode).
- Analyze power consumption and ensure efficient energy usage by verifying current absorption during wakeup and sleep cycles.
- Identification of Communication Issues:
- Identify and classify communication errors such as:
- Missing or outofsequence messages.
- Bus collisions.
- Loss of communication between ECUs.
- Delays in data transmission.
- Investigate anomalies and generate detailed reports to help address the root causes.
- Bug Management & Supplier Interface:
- Report and manage bugs related to communication using an internal ticketing platform.
- Work closely with suppliers to address communication issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Provide updates and feedback to both internal teams and external suppliers.
Tools Used:
- Vector CANoe for bus trace analysis and communication monitoring.
- CAN CANFD Ethernet LIN FlexRay for vehicle communication protocols.
- Ticket management platform for tracking bugs and supplier interactions.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Mechatronics or related fields.
- Experience with vehicle communication protocols (CAN CANFD Ethernet LIN FlexRay).
- Proficiency in CANoe or similar communication analysis tools.
- Familiarity with power consumption analysis and lowenergy mode verification.
- Strong analytical skills for identifying communication issues and energy inefficiencies.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in German/Italian is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in automotive communication analysis or ECU troubleshooting.
Familiarity with bug tracking platforms and supplier management.
