Psychology Teacher Surrey Secondary School Exploring the Human Mind
An Outstanding secondary school in Surrey seeks a passionate and intellectually curious Psychology Teacher to join their thriving department. This is a fulltime permanent position primarily teaching Key Stages 4 and 5. The school is committed to providing students with a rigorous and engaging introduction to the fascinating world of psychology.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver stimulating and challenging Psychology lessons that explore a wide range of topics including cognitive social developmental and biological psychology.
- Develop students understanding of key psychological concepts theories and research methods.
- Foster critical thinking analytical skills and an appreciation for the scientific study of human behavior.
- Prepare students for success in Psychology examinations (e.g. GCSE ALevel).
- Encourage students to apply psychological principles to realworld situations and their own lives.
- Contribute to the development of the Psychology curriculum.
- Teaching at a high achieving Outstanding School
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A degree in Psychology or a closely related field.
- Proven experience teaching Psychology at the secondary level preferably including ALevel.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for psychology.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
