About the Role:
- Deliver engaging English lessons to Key Stage 4 students focusing on developing their skills in reading writing and critical analysis.
- Plan and deliver lessons that incorporate a variety of literary texts and writing styles.
- Assess student progress through essays presentations and examinations providing detailed and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative teaching strategies within the English department.
- Organize and lead extracurricular activities such as book clubs and writing workshops promoting student engagement and fostering a love of literature.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate English skills and perspectives into the wider curriculum.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in English Literature and Language.
- Experience teaching English to Key Stage 4 students with a proven ability to inspire and motivate boys.
- A strong understanding of literary analysis and writing techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for engaging young minds in the study of English.
- A commitment to promoting boys achievement in English.
