Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Retail Properties Manager/Developer to join their Properties Department. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the retail property landscape and a proven track record in property development or retail property management.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new retail sites and expansion opportunities in South Africa and neighboring countries.
- Negotiate prime retail locations in malls new developments or towns on behalf of the company.
- Collaborate with internal teams to assess and finalize new store proposals.
- Conduct feasibility studies including market profiling and merchandise mix recommendations.
- Negotiate and manage lease agreements ensuring favorable terms and compliance.
- Oversee timely renewal of existing leases and ensure adherence to lease conditions.
- Address and resolve store maintenance issues.
- Manage landlordrelated queries including lease and account discrepancies.
Qualifications & Experience
- A relevant tertiary qualification (Financial Legal Property Management etc. is preferred but not essential.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in retail property development or retail property management.
