Job Description
The Company
The Role:
Yellowgate Group is seeking an experienced independent NonExecutive Chairperson to join its Board and provide strategic leadership and governance.
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in either finance or civil industries bringing a wealth of knowledge to support the ongoing strong growth and development of the business. The Chairperson will play a key role in ensuring effective governance and working closely with the Board and CEO to drive strategic initiatives.
The appointment will be for an initial 12 month period with the possibility to extend and is a paid engagement for attendance at monthly board meetings preparing and reading board documents.
The board meetings are a mixture of online and in person at our office in Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead with vision to drive governance and strategic direction of the Board and Company
- Provide an independent perspective and act in the best interests of the shareholders and company
- Liaise with the CEO and provide thorough executive coaching and leadership
- Engage with key stakeholders to build strong and collaborative relationships
- Contribute to the development and review of the companys strategic direction
- Add value to the Board by providing insightful input and supporting business growth
- Ensure effective governance and compliance with regulatory and legislative standards upholding high levels of integrity and accountability to assist in navigating complex strategic decisions
- Ensure accountability of the executive team
- Assist with the treasury and debt suite to sustain business growth objectives
A Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Proven experience as a Chairperson
- Strong background in either finance civil engineering or related field
- Excellent communication engagement and interpersonal skills
- Expertise in executive coaching and corporate governance
- Demonstrated ability to shape and execute business strategy
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance
