Job Description

ORGANIZATION

Primary Supervision: Warehouse staff

Functional Guidance: Receiving Picking and Prep of product for Home Delivery in the Service Center

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Minimum three 3 years previous experience in a furniture warehouse or distribution.

Other Requirements: Ability to work independently multitask and delegate. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to lift heavy objects. Required to inspect all products to verify standards of quality. Is required to operate and train personnel on warehouse equipment and processes such as lift truck baler RF Scanners and computer barcode systems. Must be in good physical condition heavy lifting required. Holiday evening and weekend work may be required. Must have computer knowledge and strong communication skills.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES

Manage all processes of receiving picking and prep of product for home delivery in the Service Center. Ensure inventory accuracy and secure storage of all products in the Service Center. Maintain a safe work environment with enforcement of all safety procedures and policies. Oversee functions related to proper storage and safe delivery of furniture to customers. Assist in all functions related to the safe management storage and delivery of our product. Provide oversight to staff and/or temporary workers including outside delivery services and inhome warranty service. Meet set monthly delivery goals.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise inbound receiving of product and accurate placement in the Service Center inventory
  • Manage picking opening and prep of all outbound product for delivery including assigning pick lists and prep assignments including reupholstery of COGS
  • Properly disposition items that do not meet Ethan Allen standards for delivery.
  • Assign track and communicate with Customer Service scheduling of Special Inspections
  • Utilize RF Barcode scanning for accurate movement and placement of product in the Service Center.
  • Prepare furniture for delivery to customer open product inspect each piece to meet Ethan Allen quality standards. Assist with prepping of all products for delivery.
  • Inspect returned and refused product for condition and determine disposition and accurately update inventory accordingly.
  • Participate in Quarterly cycle counts in partnership with the Service Center Manager
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized Service Center
  • Monitor compliance and enforce all required safety policies.
  • Support in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
  • Report any internal damage of product in the Service Center Enforce all company security procedures including arming and disarming of the alarm systems.
  • Perform any other duties as required.
