A wellestablished manufacturing company is seeking a proactive and customerfocused Customer Service Representative to join their team in Athol MA. This onsite role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fastpaced production environment and enjoys building longterm client relationships.
In this role you will serve as a key point of contact for assigned accounts ensuring customer satisfaction by coordinating orders monitoring production schedules and delivering exceptional service. Youll play an important role in maintaining and strengthening customer relationships with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary contact for assigned accounts maintaining and strengthening customer relationships.
Manage incoming customer inquiries providing information on products services and capabilities.
Process and coordinate customer orders ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.
Monitor production schedules and proactively provide customers with order status updates.
Communicate critical deadlines customer requests and quality issues to management.
Initiate and track quotes and manage order changes maintaining accurate production records and documentation.
Collaborate with accounting and credit teams to monitor payments and assist in collecting outstanding balances when needed.
Coordinate shipping logistics to meet customer delivery expectations.
Process invoices credits returns and address discrepancies in accordance with company policies.
Provide exceptional customer service with minimal supervision ensuring customer satisfaction and goodwill.
Plan prioritize and manage workload efficiently recognizing when to escalate issues to management.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (additional education is a plus).
Minimum of 4 years of customer service experience ideally within a manufacturing or production environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
Good math skills and computer literacy; experience with CRM or ERP systems is a plus.
Ability to work overtime on occasion sometimes with short notice.
Work Environment
Onsite role based in Athol MA.
Office and manufacturing setting with occasional exposure to dust odors fumes and noise.
Regular physical activities including sitting standing walking bending and stooping.
