We are currently searching for a Senior Research Associate for a Healthcare Association. The position is fulltime temporary and hybrid onsite in Arlington VA.

Is This Your Dream Job: The Senior Research Associate will support research evaluation data generation and analysis for the Centers Innovation Lab. The Innovation Lab a partnership with Impact Genome and several academic institutions has developed a taxonomy to identify the core components of falls prevention program interventions associated with improved outcomes among programs. The purpose of the Innovation Lab is to oversee communitybased organizations as they conduct their research to validate the core components of falls prevention programs and promote the practices that work. The Senior Research Associate will assist the Innovation Lab subawardees with data collection processes guide them through data entry and oversee timely reporting using the Organizations Healthy Aging Programs Integrated Database (HAPID) and other platforms. This position will assist subawardees with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) process requirements.
The Senior Research Associate will interact regularly with the Innovation Lab funder partners advisory committee members and subawardees. Ongoing subawardee engagement will be 1:1 in group settings (e.g. webinars) and online through a community site among other formats. The incumbent should be proficient in producing spreadsheets summary tables graphics data visualizations and summarizing findings from quantitative and qualitative analyses. Analysis products developed by the incumbent may be used for funder reports subawardee monitoring quality assurance fact sheets external communication pieces and national conference presentations.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelors degree in a social science field (e.g. public health social work public administration) required Masters degree preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience preferably with a nonprofit or government organization.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Experience working with community organizations with varying levels of research experience conducting ontheground research.
- Direct experience with an IRB and consent process or working knowledge of such.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data findings clearly and concisely to different audiences.
- Experience with project management including the use of project management platforms.
- Experience designing and administering surveys and facilitating qualitative research activities including data analysis
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g. SPSS Stata) or programming languages used for analysis (e.g. R Python).
- Working understanding of statistics for data manipulation and ability to develop professional quantitative reports translating data for nontechnical audiences with a high attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel skills for data cleaning calculation and database usage.
- A collaborative responsive and flexible teamwork approach with the ability to prioritize and manage concurrent projects.
How You Will Spend Your Day:
- Coordinate and provide technical assistance related to research methods and processes including CommunityBased Participatory Research (CBPR).
- Instruct subawardees on falls prevention core components and associated outcome measures.
- Identify and operationalize mechanisms to collect program and participantlevel data.
- Assist subawardees to develop and execute data collection processes.
- Train and support subawardees to use the HAPID for data collection needs.
- Serve as liaison with Institutional Review Boards (IRB).
- Respond to sub awardees research and data needs questions via email and calls.
- Create data dashboards for subawardee data.
- Collaborate with external consultants and coordinate webinars; participate as necessary.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the database and collaborate with others across the organization for database needs.
- Work closely with the research and evaluation team.
- Other responsibilities as required.
