PATH is seeking candidates passionate about helping others make a positive change in their lives to join our Site Based Housing team as the Clinician VSSR at the Zephyr office.

ABOUT PATH
Since its foundation in 1984 PATH (People Assisting The Homeless) has pioneered bold and effective approaches to assist people experiencing homelessness. PATH operates services throughout California connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention street outreach employment preparation and placement assistance individualized case management supportive services interim housing and permanent supportive housing.

ABOUT THE JOB
Provides clinicallevel supports to interdisciplinary team promoting mental wellness for clients through direct client assessment and intervention and providing clinical context and insight in team meetings and case conferencing. Primary focus is on crisis intervention risk assessment psychosocial rehabilitation and transitional mental health services while connecting clients to care.Depending on the program may also conduct biopsychosocial needs assessments and general mental health / substance use screenings and assessments.The clinician supports all clients in a program based on client need consent and programs policies and procedures Position Responsibilities include:

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments as needed per the programs policies and procedures.
• Use clinical training to provide crisis intervention and risk assessment to any program client in need.
• Provide mental health training and consultation to program staff as needed.
• Connect clients to appropriate levels of mental health and SUD treatment and coordinate care with clients mental health and/or SUD provider.
• Provide temporary mental health counseling until they can be connected to treatment.
• Collaborate with the clients assigned case manager/clinical case manager and other team members

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Masters degree in social work or a closely related field e.g. masters in psychology etc.
• Current valid registration in California as an ASW AMFT or APCC or has evidence of a registration application submitted

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an LCSW LMFT or LPCC

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Regardless of qualifications candidates must:

• Have employment eligibility verification
• Have or be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training
• Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire:
  • Tuberculosis Test
  • Background Screening
  • Drug Test

DRIVING
Driving is an essential function of this position. To meet the employment requirements for this role all candidates must:

• Have reliable transportation
• A valid California drivers license
• Proof of insurance and ownership for personal vehicles used during work duties
• The ability to qualify for PATHs insurance coverage
